Roust Element appoints Kasper Bregendahl as new Chief Executive Officer
Following a thorough and extensive recruitment process, timber element manufacturer Roust Element has appointed Kasper Bregendahl as its new Chief Executive Officer. He will assume the position on 16 February, permanently succeeding Steffen Kremmer as part of a planned leadership transition.
The change in leadership follows a challenging period for Roust Element, during which the company has worked purposefully to strengthen its business operations.
“We have taken the time to find the right profile for the next phase. Steffen was appointed on an interim basis with a clearly defined mandate and has set a clear direction for Roust Element. We are on the right track, and it is now time to hand over responsibility to a permanent CEO who can build on the foundation and ensure stable, long term development,” says Holger C. Hansen, Group CEO of Nordic Wood Industries and co owner of Roust Element.
An experienced leader with a strong technical and commercial profile
Kasper Bregendahl holds a degree in civil engineering and brings more than 30 years of experience from the construction and building materials industry. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of engineering, sales, leadership and business development, with solid experience in project driven businesses and prefabricated products.
He has extensive management experience and most recently held overall responsibility for approximately 220 employees across the Nordic region. He has a strong commercial background and many years of experience as Sales and Marketing Director, including specification sales, project sales and building close relationships with contractors, architects and consulting engineers.
Most recently, he served as CEO of Simpson Strong Tie, a manufacturer of structural connectors, where he was part of the leadership team for more than 10 years. He has also previously held senior positions at companies including E.J. Badekabiner and VELFAC.
“Roust Element is in a phase where the foundation has been strengthened, and our focus is now on translating that work into stable results. My task is to continue the positive progress and work closely with employees and customers on solutions that are buildable and durable, both during installation and throughout the lifetime of the building. We will continue to prioritise quality, credibility and sustainability, and develop the business at a pace where we all can follow,” says Kasper Bregendahl.
Smooth transition and continued contribution from Steffen Kremmer
To ensure a calm and smooth transition, Steffen Kremmer will remain in his role until 1 April. During this period, he will work closely with Kasper Bregendahl to ensure a seamless handover. Thereafter, Steffen Kremmer will continue as a member of the Board of Directors of Roust Element.
