New CEO for Roust Element
Mikkel Nørrelykke Steffensen, 44 years old, will take over on 15 August 2022 as the new managing director of Roust Element in Årre, north-east of Esbjerg. He takes over the post from Hans Peter Sørensen, who of his own volition has chosen to resign from the position of director and instead take over as project manager at Roust Element.
After the summer holidays, Roust Element, which is part of the wood-based group Nordic Wood Industries, will have a new managing director, since the current managing director Hans Peter Sørensen has chosen to focus his time as project manager at Roust Element following increased demand.
It will be 44-year-old Mikkel Nørrelykke Steffensen, who from now on will be responsible for Roust Elements’ extensive portfolio of projects within prefabricated and timber construction. Mikkel Nørrelykke Steffensen has been employed at JFP for the past ten years, most recently as COO, director and partner, where he has, among other things, been responsible for calculation and tender work as well as manager of around 45 employees.
“Among other things, it is his good leadership qualities and previous experience with element construction, including from Tinglev Elementfabrik, as well as his work as a contractor and broad knowledge of wooden elements, that have contributed to the appointment,” says Thomas Raunsbæk, Group Director at Nordic Wood Industries:
“Mikkel is a really strong candidate and has many years of experience both as a manager and in construction. He will be a central player in the work of bringing Roust Element’s five-year strategic plan for growth to life, and we are completely comfortable entrusting the management to him and are very much looking forward to the collaboration. At the same time, we would like to send a big thank you for the cooperation to the outgoing director Hans Peter Sørensen and are delighted that he will continue to be at home at Roust Element and at Nordic Wood Industries, where he will no doubt settle in well as project manager,” he says.
Mikkel Nørrelykke Steffensen has a degree in civil engineering from Aalborg University in Esbjerg. He has also taken the diploma management course as a Mini-MBA at Probana Business School.
“I am looking forward to starting a new chapter of my working life at Roust Element, and I am very much looking forward to getting to know the company, the colleagues and the customers. Roust Element is a solid and very experienced company in timber and element construction, where quality, sustainability and Danish production go into a higher unity,” says Mikkel Nørrelykke Steffensen.
Privately, Mikkel Nørrelykke Steffensen lives in Esbjerg and is married to Line, with whom he has four children.
