Nordic Wood Industries hires a new sustainability manager

Joan Bruun Thiesen joins on 1 February 2024 as the new head of sustainability at Nordic Wood Industries, which is one of Denmark’s leading producers and suppliers of wood-based materials and prefabrication for construction. Joan’s primary areas of responsibility will be to strengthen and further develop the group’s work with sustainability and set the strategic direction for the group’s eight companies.

Joan is particularly at home in working with sustainability. She has a degree in civil engineering in Environmental Management from Aalborg University and has worked in the field for 15 years. Most recently, she comes from a position as sustainability manager at the module manufacturer Scandi Byg, which became part of Nordic Wood Industries at the turn of the year.

Privately, Joan lives in the town of Farstrup, which lies between the Nibe and Løgstør.
