NOWI is hiring a strategic purchasing manager

Nordic Wood Industries has per 1 August hired Morten Møller Christensen as Strategic Purchasing Manager. Morten comes with an exciting background, most recently as Strategic Procurement Manager at KVIST Industries A/S, which i.a. produces luxury furniture for Danish furniture brands such as HAY, Muuto, COOP and Fritz Hansen.

With an educational background as a marketing and logistics economist, Morten has spent the last nine years dealing with strategic purchasing in several companies, where he, among other things, has been responsible for the implementation of strategic suppliers with a focus on the development and sharing of competences as well as optimization of various supply chains and optimization of procurement processes.

Morten, with his solid experience and good results in the bag, will play a significant role in how we can coordinate purchases for all companies in the NOWI group. It will be a great help for everyone when Morten, together with the purchasing manager in each company, helps to ensure that we take advantage of the many good opportunities we have. This will hopefully result in more benefits and savings for suppliers, which all companies can benefit from.

“It appeals to me very much to join a group in positive development, and I hope to be able to gather some threads across the companies in a structured way, so that we can create synergy and save money on purchases from suppliers. For me, the sustainability agenda in the group is an important factor, and if I can contribute to it through my work, I would very much like to.” says Morten.
