Nordic Wood Industries strengthens and secures future of board with new member
To support the group’s ambitious growth strategy, Nordic Wood Industries appoints a new board member, Dorte Krogh, who will contribute with new, strong skills in acquisitions, cultural transformation and branding.
On 1 December 2022, Dorte Krogh, who has, among other things, been a co-initiator and chairman of the Board of Women in Zealand as well as business owner for 20 years, will join the board of Nordic Wood Industries. Here, with her many years of experience in management and board work, she will help ensure the group’s strategy for significant growth.
– We have a goal of growing significantly over the coming years, and therefore we need experience that can support future growth. Here, Dorte is a really exciting profile and a good match for the group, as she brings new knowledge and skills within cultural transformation, value creation and network formation, which we ourselves do not have, says the chairman of the board of Nordic Wood Industries, Asbjørn Berge, who elaborates :
– In this way, Dorte complements us and with her great drive can help to ensure the common line in growth and acquisitions, so that we strengthen cross-functional cooperation and continue to be one unified group with a strong common direction and a clear focus on sustainable building in wood.
Spot on the possibilities of wooden construction
In addition to strong abilities in cultural change and networking, Dorte, who originally is educated as a graphic designer, also comes with strategic competences in design and branding, which she has accumulated over 20 years as business owner of a design company.
– We have a vision of being a competence center for sustainable construction, and here Dorte will help make the entire positioning and branding even sharper. We would like to focus on the many uses of wood and the many advantages of building in wood, and here Dorte is the woman who can really put the spotlight on, says Holger C. Hansen, board member and business development director at Nordic Wood Industries.
Dorte, who has worked with design and branding for some of Denmarks largest companies, is looking forward to taking on board work at Nordic Wood Industries:
– Nordic Wood Industries is an exciting group that has some good and healthy core values in the form of sustainability, innovation and diversity – values that I fully share. I am therefore looking forward to becoming part of the board and starting the work of securing the values, culture and cohesion across the group’s companies. I am also looking forward to, together with the company’s management, further highlighting the many possibilities of timber construction, says Dorte Krogh.
In addition to her career as an independent business owner, Dorte has held several positions on boards, advisory boards and networks in the past ten years. She has also been the initiator of the industry association for design companies in Denmark, Design Denmark, and has been chairman of the board of and had a significant role in the establishment of Board Women on Zealand.
